So who plays ?? Anybody on the forum play cricket currently or ever have done ?? If so what was/is you're trade ?? Fast bowler, Keeper, Batter, spinner, seam bowler, swing etc....

Last played for Eaglesvale U15C in 1987. Specialist batsman, number 11, career best 5*.

Yeah, I'm far better at watching cricket. Was also a top-class scorer (as in, in the tent marking up the scorecards) in my day.

I start playing cricket at age of 9 and stop at 22.i play for my club/village 29 matches.
Score 321 runs ataverage of 12.84, all at number 9 for my team.hit 9 fours and 5 sixes.take 9 catches.my captain never give me ball to bowl,
historical movement is for me that once in a final 5 runs needed at 5 overs.me and number 11 at crease.that day i play 24 balls and score that 5 runs in singles.i did't give strike to number 11.that is day of my cricket life.

I think the most pumped I've ever been in a cricket match was last summer. The leagues fastest bowler, and possibly the best pro was marking his run up out and I was opening the batting for the 1st team. (It was the first time I'd ever opened for the first team). And i remember the keeper running up to me and giving me a load saying that "you're to young to be playing cricket, so do yourself a favour and piss off". Something just ticked inside me and the bowler was now my main priority. Nothing else mattered. For the first over I just got my eye in, but the second time I got to face him I was really aggressive. I walked down the track 3 times in a row and pulled him for 6. He just kept digging em in at me. I scored 68 in that match off just 40 deliveries, until i was caught at silly point. I just winked at the keeper and he ran over to me and shook my hand. Fantastic day of cricket for me. Though i got onked all over the place when it came to bowl

i have been playing cricket since under 12s to now playing B grade at my club. I have opened batting and bowling most weeks but wouldnt count me a specialist in any of those fields. lol Highlight this year was nearly reaching my first 50, i got run out backing up the batsman after he hit a catch straight back to the bowler and he droped it and the ball fliked the bails. I enjoy playing cricket purely for the social part.

Once my coach ask me to open innings,that day i get retired hurt in one ball,i got hit at my anckle.i lost my sense for 2 hours that day.

I was in the nets last summer and my uncle boxed me. I just crawled out the net trying my best not to throw up
