ICL players blocked from Champions League

Modi also clarified that "any ICL player playing for any team automatically disqualifies that team from participating" in the Champions League. "No exceptions will be made under any circumstances," Modi said.
Is that legal? Unfair discrimination anyone?

"Restraint of trade" is the legal term, and the ECB have already lost one court case over ICL players (against their rule forbidding counties from signing players who'd taken ICL contracts). BCCI can say what they want, but they'll lose any case that comes to court and ICL seem quite prepared to pay the legal fees of their players who are caught by these idiotic rules...
