And isn't this the reason why we cherish cricket? The toss, an imbalanced team,an undeserving team, the weather, the pitch, injuries & a team strong enough to overcome it's weakness & peak when it matters most. The glorious uncertainties of the game!
Now there has been 6 different winners in 7 tournaments. What lies ahead next year?
One could presume there will be no late season IPL. Interesting to see 4 or 5 Indian players are opting out of the NZ series. Seems the can pick & choose when they get rest. Was it the board giving them a tough itinerary? Or bubble fatigue? Or the desire to play in what presents as a better pay day?
