NED off to a solid start to chase 223 and knock over the Afghans. Would be valuable points for them if they can do it.

Small total put up by the Afghans who score as much in 50 overs as they do in 20.

NED squandered a great chance. Hopefully can sneak a win in the remaining games.

Afghabs were 184-2 going into the last 10 overs.

Only scored 53 in the final 10 with 8 wickets in hand. That was perhaps the worst slog overs batting you will ever see.

Afghans have now got a full 60/60, and they still have fixtures against Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka where they will feel they can get some points.

A direct qualification for Afghanistan is looking more and more likely.

I don't think AFG think they can get too many points vs BD at home. 10 points max, and even that looks a huge ask given how weak their batting is in any format longer than 20 overs.

Even if they pick 10 points against Ban, 10 against SLN they go up to 80, 2 wins against Zim is very realistic that's 100. They can also pull off a couple of upset wins against the bigger opponents. That might be enough for a direct entry.
