Last match the Irish got bowled out cheaply twice on a deck the Lankans dominated on, now this Test they did well, but again the Lankan boys are feasting.

I'd say Zimbabwe are still a bit ahead of the Irish in Test cricket

Ireland put up a decent fight against a full strength Bangladesh last month.

Ireland have 8 wickets left...they will need to bat till 45 mins after tea to save this Test.

Well done Ireland - actually a huge achievement to find a way to lose - by an innings! - on that pitch

Honestly the Lords test is going to break records

The pitch wasnt that flat. Good on the first two days but then deteriorates as time goes. Its just the Irish spin attack was horrible so sl managed to put up a total. I think Lords will be closer. The Irish bowling attack will actually be potent.

But I do get that we dont like the Irish here

Ireland have some talented young batters to work with in Tector and Tucker. Remains to be seen how long Stirling can kick on for. Guys like Doheny have also made a start. They have a decent seam attack too with Little, McCarthy and Adair. It’s always going to tough in a place like Sri Lanka.
