The previous meetings were failed also.First one was between ICL and BCCI.It was ended up within 10 minutes.BCCI proposed ICL to end this tournament permanently and to give a selected team from ICL to play in the IPL.But ICL refused and it came to an end.
Next one was probably two months ago in Perth,Australia.ICC wanted to notice ICL as a tournament of retired players. But it went opposite to the motive of ICL.Their motive is to give a chance to the players especially young players who are deprived of from modern facilities and chances. So,ICL refuesed and also ended up with no result.
Latest meeting in Johannesberg,South Africa dont have any conclusion either. But ICC will talk over the ICL issue in April.
The future of about 80 Indian players and about 50 foreign players is joined with ICL.Positives are Sri Lankan ICL players are allowed to domestic cricket in Sri Lanka.Pakistani ICL players went to the court and they are also allowed to play in the domestic comnpetition of Pakistan. But they arent allowed to international cricket.
ICL president and former Indian captain Kapil Dev didnt want to go to the court for a sports reason. But they have become helpless with the lack of support from BCCI.So,ICL have decided to go to the court to ensure the approval of ICL.
