Not as focused and reflective as I planned. But there's still a good 3 weeks left.

Hoping to see some good Test cricket before all this T20 stuff coming up.

We’ve won the toss and surprisingly elected to bowl first. Means we’ll be chasing last. Some rain the forecast as well. Apparently it’s supposed to be a green top in Sylhet with both sides picking 3 seamers.

Bangladesh have given 21 year old Nahid Rana his cap after an impressive start to his FC career. Also was approaching 150 clicks in the BPL and the speed guns were reportedly accurate. Will be interesting to see if he’s really express.

Ahh the beauty of Test match cricket!

Bangladesh started terrificly with 5 wickets in the morning session. Excellent attacking captaincy from Shanto, incredible tactical awareness, and even a superb run out with the just 1 stump to aim at by Shanto. SL were 57-5 inside the first 20 overs. But DDS and Kamindu with a sensational counterattack at better than a run a ball. Match when from firmly in Bangladesh's control to being dead even in the space of 15 overs!

SL in firm control. Unbelievable stuff. An innings of a single partnership and now their seamers have hit back.

Bangladesh seem to have squandered the advantage of the first session away.

Given the scores so far and the pitch behavior, SL likely already have a big enough lead to clinch the Test.

That being said, theres no better time to chase 300 in the 4th innings than now.

Thats no excuse. Wasn't an excuse vs New Zealand in Mirpur a few months back or against India in Mirpur a year ago.

SLcricfan, how are you feeling watching that innings. 126-6 to 400+. two guys scored all the runs in both innings.

For a BD fan it was painful watching. However, the pitch really looks dead now. No turn and not really any seam movement either. That green live grass from the first two days seems to be gone now.

511 to win for Bangladesh.

Damn this thread is quieter than the Sylhet stadium right now.

Bangladesh always find new ways to lose lmao. In NZ they lost after scoring 600 in the first innings. And here they will lose after having the opposition at 50 for 5 on the first morning. And not lost by 50 or even 100 runs but by 400+

New lows.

Sterling knock from Mominul though. Honestly, haven't seen him bat as crisply as he did yesterday. Hopefully it boosts his confidence given how spordically he plays cricket, being a Test specialist.
