I would rate Taylor behind A Flower and Houghton, and equal with Goodwin and Johnson. You can pretty much divide full-member Zimbabwean cricket into three era's. Houghton was the best of the early days, A Flower the best of the golden years, Taylor the best of the factory of sadness years.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Two questions for everyone:

1. Where does Taylor rank among the top Zim batsmen of all time?
2. Where does Masakadza rank among the top Zim batsmen of all time?
For me personally,

1. Taylor would be top 5
2. Hammy is not even top 10

The top batsmans of all time

Andy Flower
Dave Houghton
Grant Flower
BT
Alistair Campbell
Murray Goodwin
Hami
Neil Johnson
Sean William
Chigmbura.or you can put Craig Erivine but Craig is not explosive as Elton

Not sure how Elton makes any top 10.

I think I would go

1. A Flower
2. D Houghton
3. N Johnson
4. B Taylor
5. D Fletcher
6. S Ervine
7. G Flower
8. M Goodwin
9. A Campbell
10. C Ervine

I don't base my selection on skin colour. I base it on quality of the player.

For all his 5000 runs, he still only averages 27. Not good enough for a player who played as often as he did as an opener.

Elton had a better career than Ervine for me who you have at 10. At his peak he was serious

No Black? No Black? No Black?

Hahahahahaha. Unreal.

That, my dear gentlemen, is why we, as a nation, SUCK at cricket, as well as virtually everything else! Some jerk off has always got to start mentioning colour!

A nuclear bomb could explode in Harare and some tosser from Zim would start complaining about the manufacturer's skin colour.

Honestly, the only people who are worse at doing that crap than us, are the South Africans. And they're hitting the skids in a big way too.

Seriously dude?

Elton stats:

Test: Ave - 21.07 50s - 4 100s - 0
ODI: Ave - 25.23 50s - 19 100s - 2

Ervine stats:

Test: Ave - 35.52 50s - 4. 100s - 3
ODI: Ave - 31.90 50s - 15 100s - 3

It literally a no contest when you look at the stats. Craig even has better stats in T20s which is meant to be Eltons forte. It's completely a no contest.

I’m happy to say Elton shouldn’t be near the side now, but he was a dam good player in his time (Zimbabwe standards).
