Mate, a little harsh. He hasn't even been given full quota in either match. Not his mistake either. He's done well and has a role. Of course I wouldn't pick him for ODIs or tests, but this format suits him. He's an excellent fielder too.
The thing for me, he is the specialist spinner. So it's all well and good if he has a low economy, but if he is not a wicket taking option, then he is a wasted bowler. You can't only be a bowler who keeps runs down and not take wickets because then your overs become overs where the opposition can relax or get in to a groove. You want to always be looking at building pressure or creating options.
They said they will pick the team on form in the T20 comp. Ainsley got wickets and had a decent economy. On that form, he deserved his shot.
He had bowled 5 overs before this match. had a catch dropped of him in the first one (like many other bowlers). Hasn't had much luck basically.
With the overall T20 left arm spin pecking order goes, it is surely Chisoro and Wellington well ahead of Ainsley and one series can't change it. He had been tried before. This seems a fair selection, despite the feeling that Hammy being at the top might influence. In fact even Ray Price played this exact role in T20s and wasn't a wicket taker. That's the role and if he does justice to that, then I have no complaints. And he has done that job for the 8 overs he has bowled in this series so far.
Really good 4 overs from Welly there. Of course we need wickets but I thought he bowled very well today. Looked very difficult to hit him off the square.
Crucial contribution really. Looks like Williams isn't fit enough to bowl and Wes is off the field, so a lot on the shoulders of Burl & Welly.
We need wickets. That's the only way we can contain them now.
This is why I don't like Wellington. He's not an option. When you need wickets, you are not looking at him and going, "this is the guy". He is good at economy, but the game is to take wickets.

Ray definitely was a wicket taking option. You don't get to Number 1 in the world just keeping economy rates down. You need wickets too.
I'm not hating on Wellington because of his name or anything like that, just wouldn't be my preference. If we are saying we are picking on form, then Ainsley was the best form in the T20 comp. Quite simple really. When you are in clutch matches, you can't just try to be defensive.
Pakistan with their full strength batting couldn't chase 118. This is not even Zim's full strength batting. Ervine is out, Raza is not there. Wesley might be injured. Moor could have been useful too here today.
