Playing XI:

Mudzinganyama
Kaitano
Madhevere
Shumba
Myers
Kaia
Mutumbami (C/ WK)
Mufudza
Mavuta
Mumba
Chatara

Too few pacers. Shocking to see Mavuta and Mutumbami get a game given the form they are in.

Is it now a requirement that players have to have a certain hair style to play for Zim.

So, what are we doing with the openers for the BD test?

1. Stick with KK + PM
2. Replace one of them with Mudzinganyama
3. Replace one of them with Musakanda (does not look like a good choice as Tari is woefully out of form)
4. Stick in Chamu + Chari (Well, ZC selection!)
5. Stick in Chari + Maruma (ZC selection again!)
6. Replace one of KK + PM with Wes / Shumba?
7. Get Tiripano to open with whoever else.

Its good to see "unfamiliar" names like Kaitano and Mufudza get a shot at international cricket. Lets hope they (along with Mudzinganyama) can step up and join the four emerging stars (Wesley, Shuma, Marumani and Myers) in forming the backbone of the next generation of Chevrons

Is Mumba 140 km/h quick? With him, Muzarabani, Chatara, Ngarava and Chivhanga, we have a rare crop of genuine pace bowlers. Hopefully worthy successors to Price/Cremer in the spin department will emerge soon

I'm a bit too late in saying this but very impressed with Myers. People were saying he was better than Wes, Shumba, Marumani etc. and I did not have any further info on it to either agree or disagree. But looks like he is at a slightly higher level of quality for sure. Looks absolutely solid and has quality shots.

How good is this South African bowling side? Are they international standards?
