Why? Poor domestic record. Averages 20. Only ever passed 50 twice in entire limited over career. Last Pro50 his scores were 25, 11, 2 and 1.


These ODI games are absolutely crucial. Realistically we need a minimum of 20 points, possibly 30 to have any real chance of qualification. Not the time to be giving cursory caps to mediocre club cricketers.

To think if we had decent openers in the Pakistan away one day internationals we could have won that series. Chari and chibhaba are not based on meritocracy
