No. It is all about the final over, have at least 9 to defend and you have a chance. That Ngarava over, every staunch supporter knew that was going for runs, how can Raza not know that, nonsense this teamtgk wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 2:00 pm27 in 18. Literally any other bowler today could've kept it below 9 runs this over to give us some chance of a miracle. Anyway, can't blame this one over for the game, we should've batted much better today.Rajkumar Sharma wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 1:58 pmSeems new in watching T20 game. 20 runs in 16 balls with 8 wickets remaining isnt considered crucial juncture in T20 game

If it was 36 of 18 then it was someting a chance as per T20 standard. 27 of 18 with 8 wickets remaining is nothing a chance in modern T20 systemsecretzimbo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 2:01 pmIt was 27 off 18 and at that point there is a definite (small) chance. Regis literally the only single positive at the moment.
Everyone else has to do more. Every single one of them.

27 off 18 and you definitely have a (small) chance if you have a decent third-to-last over.
I know you will never agree so yeah

In a T20 game even 40 is chasable in 18 balls if 8 wickets are in hand.CholeZimbo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 2:02 pmNo. It is all about the final over, have at least 9 to defend and you have a chance. No! If he had left is at enen 20 of 12 (conceding 7) even if some comes and concedes 10 then you have a fair chance at 10 of the last 6, and 2 good balls in the final over you are close. Why you bring someone going at 10 an over to bowl a pressure over is unforgivable.Rajkumar Sharma wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 2:03 pmIf it was 36 of 18 then it was someting a chance as per T20 standard. 27 of 18 with 8 wickets remaining is nothing a chance in modern T20 systemsecretzimbo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 2:01 pmIt was 27 off 18 and at that point there is a definite (small) chance. To get success in modern T20 game, pacers should have following skills
a) bowl yorkers b) slower bouncers c) wide yorkers d) knuckle bowl
what i found in Zim pacers, they can only bowl slower one, change of pace deliveries which becomes very much predictable for batters when they are chasing totals.

calling that abysmal is ridiculous indeed you really need to grow up buddy. If that 18th over yielded a wicket and few runs. You would be saying "what a good captaincy". The match was literally lost in the first innings. 90-2 at the start of 11th over, they should have at least scored 175 plus runs.

Sorry but bringing on a guy who has been slogged all over the park and is bang out of form to bowl a crucial over when you still have a tiny chance of winning is unforgiveable. How can you defend that captaincy? It's lunacy.lobsang wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 2:10 pmsecretzimbo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 2:01 pmIt was 27 off 18 and at that point there is a definite (small) chance. And I am probably the world's number 1 Sikandar Raza fan. I don't criticise him lightly, at all.
