2nd ODI: Zimbabwe vs Ireland

Post by Kriterion_BD »

Will we get 40 overs in to get a result? Only time will tell.

Looks like the forecast is suggesting rain will start 35-40 overs into the game, so unless there is a restart with another 20 overs, the match will be a washout, with each team getting 5 points.

Damn, at least that will make the 3rd ODI a must-win for us.

Is this super league home and away? Can't remember the last time rain affected a game in Zim

No. All the teams involved are not even playing each other once. Just some random 8 teams play each other with random allocation of home / away. Forget about home and away series.

ICC really is a weird organization, nothing is logical and they are very inconsistent.

Rain rain rain all over the cards ...while touring ireland you can expect atleast one game to be a washout ..we were lucky to get 7 games including a practice match ..so this seems to be that washout

Ireland will really benefit from these washouts. There should be reserve days. Sunday looks good

They might be able to get a 20 overs a side game in.
