The most recent CWI press release from August still says 'early 2022' still. It's odd that there are no dates yet though so maybe it has been pushed back. I think there will be a lot of very pissed off players, parents and boards around the world if it is much later in the year though.Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 4:38 pmThe reason I doubt Q1 is because thats at most 5 months away and there seems to be no fixtures out. But cricket season in the Caribbean is Q2-Q3 (April to September)...My guess is the WC will be around September or October perhaps (after hurricane season ends). Actually hurricane season ends in November. So it might be very late in Q4.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 4:30 pm
Ooh really? I thought I’d read it was in Q1 but that must have been from pre-pandemic maybe.
There’s a few of our boys who will be ineligible then by the end of next year.

You just pick players under the cutoff deadline. If the dates have shifted ICC would probably make an exemption, but if the dates have never changed, don't see how it's an issue. There is is cutoff date, anyone born after gets to play. Simple.TapsC2 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 5:54 pmEligibility will become an issue. Re: Nigeria u19
There's a national U19 training camp this weekend. at Prince Edward I think.Googly wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 8:06 pmEligibility has certainly never bothered ZC
We could see Shumba and Madhevere playing their 27th u19 WC.
I think the WC starts in January unless it's been postponed.
If that's the case they've got 2 months to assemble a team and play some games. A lot of effort went into the last preparation and absolutely zero so far into this one.
There's something very odd about it all, doesn't add up.

The good news is both Emmanuel Bawa and Rogan Wolhuter are back from Eastbourne and currently attending a national U19 camp in Zim.
Re: Nigeria u19
Any idea who else might be in that camp SZ?
