Bangladesh played well today but in the Pakistan managed to pull it off. It could be a good series though.

We showed a bit of fight, but the top order was wretched. Batting first again with an unchanged side. Really need Shanto to step up and Naim to just anchor the innings.

Zimbabwe were terrific against Pak at home.Lack of experience cost them the series. Bangladesh failed because of selecting the failures, Saif has'nt been looked of international quality since his debut against India in any format. Shanto inconsistent. Biggest disappointment is Naim, his approach to T20I has changed to Odi like which wasnt there previously.

Shanto has played 6 T20Is, and like 10 ODIs. Marumani has a longer white ball career than him in terms of matches played. Way too early to tell if Shanto is inconsistent. The kid has 2 Test centuries scored away from home...he needs to be given a decent run in white ball cricket.

Naim is not an ideal T20 opener. Takes way too long to get settled. But he's all we have for now unless we go back to Soumya.

2021 has been a disastrous year for Bangladesh cricket, despite those two series wins against AUS and NZL. I think Shakib, Mushfiqur and Tamim all have atleast 3 years of cricket left in them, which means all 3 + Mahmudullah will be there until 2023 WC. The team I think is still good on paper, hard to understand why they are not doing well.

What's up with Mushfiqur saying he was dropped??

BD had given long go to Liton & Soumya and both has been average except few knocks here and there. Shanto is more a test player then T20, he might get fit in Odis. Selectors have completely forgotten Sabbir and Nasir who deserved support when they were out of form, out of the field incidents might have affected their selection for Bangladesh.

So far it has been Afif, who looked as good T20 player. Naim had great debut in India but now he is not playing the T20 game with that fearless approach. BD should bring Emon & Joy at the top, its an ideal time to handover debut to these talented youths.
