A smart capitalist is always thinking about tomorrow.

The ICC/big full members are only thinking about today. And often yesterday.
If that's the case there are no smart capitalists. 100 years from we might realize that having a billion still sucks when we can only roll around in a 8x8 cubicle aboard our SPACEX
Orbital pods.

The Big 3 Boards are thinking about tomorrow which is why they are expanding all things T20, both the IPL and the now 20 team world cup (16 is already borderline too many).

There is no tomorrow in which expanding Cricket to Phillipines or Vietnam somehow makes the game better. Soccer hasn't even expanded beyond the top 50 countries and it's as universal as water. No one wants to watch 90 minutes of Bhutan playing Lesotho.

If not for the WTC, Cricket would have been worse off for it IMO.
I put it to you that you are looking to just talk about capitalism v socialism.

I forgot to mention that the Test triangular was my idea. Even single round Robin with a Final means each leg could be played in as little as 3 weeks (4 with a tour match for each visiting side). You could have 3 such tourneys per year giving each team at least 6 Tests. This way you also harness the Afghan teams commercial appeal for increased revenue.

But it’s still extremely hard when the ICC is completely unfit for purpose and unfortunately the leading nations are mostly entirely self-centred and interested only in short term gain.

Cricket must surely be the worst administered sport in the world.
It is a terrible state of affairs. I miss the competitive days of the 90s and early 00s when we saw almost every one play and play competitively. Just a shit load of T20 franchise cricket these days and totally one sided games whenever the top 4 or 5 nations play the rest.

Looks like Blessing Muzarabani could replace Mark Wood for Lucknow franchise. I think Andy Flower is the Head coach there.

This could be HUGE and career defining for Blessing!!!

These are only some rumors in the media though, nothing has been confirmed.

Wow that's amazing news.
It'll also show the cricketers playing for the national side that they're only an ODI hundred/fiver away from a T20 contract. Look at Mavuta.

Excellent stuff.....if it's true? Good old Andy Flower hey.

Would be huge for Blessing. He probably won't play many/any matches but two months of world-class T20 coaching should do him a lot of good......and us a lot of good considering the upcoming qualifiers.

Blessing is definately under consideration and looks like the leading candidate atm, going by whatever I'm reading, but there are other options as well so. Let's see.

Surprising that Shoriful, Taskin, or even Ebadat aren't even being considered by any IPL franchises. All 3 have been putting in impressive performances recently against the best sides in international cricket.

Ebadot is a stretch lol. jayden Seales would be a pretty good pick too imo

For T20 yes, buttttt...IPL will pick often pick players who have done well in other formats...best example being Marco Jansen. Has he even played a T20I yet? Picked almost solely on his exploits in Tests vs India.

But apart from that, there's plenty of raw potential in a guy like Ebadat who has all the raw materials.
