Ashwin just doesn't seem to be able to do it on none responsive wickets. He doesn't get anywhere near as much loop as Harmer does and I think he bowls too flat. When it's turning and he's in the subcontinent, he's lethal, but so is any spinner. Harmer seems to think a batter out and he really does give it a rip. Best off spinner in the world for meslcricfan1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 02, 2022 11:32 amWhats the difference between him and someone like Ashwin?

Sp dissapointed with his performances. When he debuted against Sri Lanka in 2018 he was hitting 140kph regularly and he looked so confident with the bat. Not sure what's going on but it doesn't look good. Dwayne Pretorious might be a genuinely more safe selection for now. Gerald Coetzee and Corbin Bosch are absolutely worth a punt

He was hyped as like a new Kallis or something wasn't he? Maybe he needs to back to first class and rebuild his confidence or something.sloandog wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 5:08 pmSp dissapointed with his performances. He's absolutely good enough for this level, but it's pretty clear to see that he's no Kallis

So impressed with Simon Harmer. For the first time South Africa have 2 world class test spinners in Harmer and Maharaj. May be they are saying 'Bring on the india tour'
By the way any news on the duration of ban on Zubayr Hamza?
Guy seem to have got into terrible mess. I'll still take him over Khaya Zondo.

He was part of india tour test series in 2015, wasn't so much effective.sam_ahm wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 11:31 pmSo impressed with Simon Harmer. For the first time South Africa have 2 world class test spinners in Harmer and Maharaj. May be they are saying 'Bring on the india tour'

Oh I didn't realize that. In anycase i was just kidding, beating india in India is the toughest task for any team in the world right now. It is like beating Nadal on Clay in his prime. Next to impossible.Rajkumar Sharma wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 3:15 amHe was part of india tour test series in 2015, wasn't so much effective.sam_ahm wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 11:31 pmSo impressed with Simon Harmer.
