Legends league cricket

Post by CalZim »

Bothe Solomon Mire and Hamilton Masakadza played in the Legends cricket league yesterday for the India Capitals:

Both failed with the bat but it was good to see Mire again, I was gutted when he hung up his boots.

Are Tiba and Hammy still not on speaking terms? Interesting when their teams play each other!

Also Chigumbura playing too

It has to be asked, though: Is it right that our Director of Cricket is out there playing in some exhibition tournament in India, when our women's squad are playing crucial world cup qualifier, our means team are preparing for the world cup, and our domestic season is due to start in a couple of weeks?

Also is it right that he took the spot of someone else to play in the Takashinga T10 team last week, seemingly just as a warm-up for his gig in India this week?

When you get a top posting you've arrived. It's semi retirement. Delegate, consolidate, enjoy the fruits and stand on anybody that questions.
The poor thing is that everyone expects that to happen, you get looked at sideways if you dare say that person is answerable and must work.
It's why people fight tooth and nail for top positions- not because they have a plan to make things right, but to take advantage. And they want something named after them.
Nobody here once said- I don't want a top post, it's too much like hard work and too much responsibility

Taibu's case is really weird for me ..left cricket to concentrate purely on church's work ( i was shattered then) and then realises might not be enough so comes back to cricket clearly after his prime ..imagine what he could have offered to zim in the last 6-7 years
