It's annoying that for the second year in a row, ZC are not releasing squad lists officially. I'll see if I can obtain any though.

It’s annoying they still play the bare minimum amount of games, although the regional matches are a step in the right direction

Both the Pro50 and the Logan Cup seem to be of a decent duration. I was expecting a 10 day Pro50 and a 3-4 week Logan Cup.

They really haven't had much of a break this time around. Let's see if this makes a difference overall or just leads to more injuries

10 rounds of Pro50 that means 8 games for each team which also means just 8 innings max for each batsman.

Thinking about the guys who haven’t broken into the national team and solely play Pro50 for List A matches. That isn’t nearly enough for a professional batsman imo to play 8 List A games a year.

There are squads displayed on the Zimbabwe app but I don’t trust them to be accurate. Probably last seasons.

I see your point and agree but it is actually not too different from a lot of other full members.

England are proposing from 2024 to play just six rounds of List A fixtures per county and 10 first class fixtures per county.

Zim are playing 8 List A and 8 First Class per team , plus an extra three in each format for the regional series.

Without looking, I don’t suspect countries like New Zealand or West Indies etc play more either.

We also have the NPL in 50-over , T20 and T10 formats too below our franchise stuff

Just noticed a warm up match between the rocks and an eagles a side happened on the 28th. This could indicate some of the players in the squads minus the national players who had their own warm up match:

Eagles:
Tinashe K-long
Kudzai Maunze
Chamu Chibhaba
Marshall takodza
Ali Hamid
Cunningham Ncube
Tinashe Nenhunzi
Ashan aqil Ali
Kumbirayi Phiri
Ryan Kamwemba
Faraz Akram

Rocks:
Cephas Zhuwao
Brian Mudzinganyama
Ben Curran
Richmond Mutumbami
Tafadzwa Tsiga
William Mashinge
Brian Majoka
Daich Nyandoro
Trevor mutsamba
Keith Jaure
Privilege chesa
