Looks like we missed a trick here as usual. We should have bowled Mavuta and Wellington in tandem for most of the first session after may be an initial burst by the pacers. Too many unnecessary no pressure building overs from pacers.
No lessons learnt. Starting off post lunch session with Tiripano. FFS.
It's hilarious that he is even playing let alone leading the attack

He' shouldn't be bowling even in our 2nd XI in this day and age, let's be honest.

He probably shouldn’t be bowling in a test match, but I’d definitely be batting him at No.5 in the 2nd innings at the least.

Give him time to build an innings & blunt the attack, his Test average is now over 23 with two fifties. Also, remember Don gets real nervous near landmarks so he should probably have a 100 and a few more half centuries as well.

He really should concentrate on his batting now, being able to bowl would just be a bonus.

Yes, no qualms with Tiripano the batsman.

And we are taking the new ball. All the more reason to have bowled Mavuta and Wellington in tandem before that. Unbelievable stupidity.

Craig’s captaincy isn’t the best in recent memory, I’d much rather Williams or Raza calling the shots.

Ya Craig has been an underwhelming on-field captain for the past year. I gather he is a good leader in the change room though, calm and collected and popular.

But Williams is by far the best on-field captain we could have. It's just a shame he barely ever is available for one reason or another.

He isn't as good as people want to believe.

Coming in and scoring 30 runs at number 8 when your team are 90-6 every week, is a different role to playing as a genuine batter and being expected to build a long innings and win games for your team with the bat.

Seems to me like he remains in the team because he's a nice fellow who people like.

Terrible way to select an international sports team.

Yeah not sure mate, he’s shown many times that he can hold a bat and defend stoutly. He’s also shown in ODI cricket before he can hit the ball a fair way too.

I dunno, I just think for him at his age now it’s worth a try. Spend a season batting at No.4 for the Goats and see how he goes. Can’t hurt
