Looked into this Patrick Rowe guy. Keeper who played U19 world cup for Australia in 2020. Has also played a single BBL match. Hasn't played any Sheffield Shield yet but somehow played a first class Australia A Vs India A game a couple of years ago. Has a good grade cricket record.
Funny story about his FC game, Cameron Green got concussed and he was in the area so he came in as a substitute.

CricX pump him up. He played Div 1 Surrey for Banstead and averaged 60. He's had a few cracking innings. Looks decent.
Again we're helping him more than he's helping us.
I want to see a Mark Greatbach or an established gun bat.
I guess franchise doesn't have the pockets for that, but it's for sure better than nothing.

I'm sure he's good but the keeper situation is annoying me.

Eagles don't have a keeper and are resorting to Masunda who is a part-timer. Rhinos seemingly don't have anyone else now that Mayavo is away - hence this Rowe guy. And yet Mountaineers have 4 in their XI.

Surely Rhinos or Eagles should just sign some of the Mountaineers guys and then someone like Magodo can get proper experience with the gloves (he's really good).

I'm guessing with how much domestic List A has become maligned around the world, there isn't huge interest amongst overseas. We will probably see higher profile guys for the Logan Cup like last year.

I wonder where these blokes are staying?
I wonder if Carlson and Ed Byrom are coming?

Obviously, all these guys are only coming to be eligible for overseas sportsperson visas in England. Pretty sure Roach paid, Rowe might be on merit, but it's the same goal for both of them.

I don't know if it's worth Matt Welch putting his hand up?
He hasn't kept for a while and don't think he will risk his back which has taken a long time to repair. It would almost guarantee him some games.

Rowe would probably get a sports person visa anyway having played Australia A, u19WC and a BBL match. So don't think it's the case for him to be fair.

Naqvi has set a high bar for pay to play.
Mortgages and kidneys will be involved.

This always intrigues me. Do we put them up in a hotel? Give them a house for those staying all season? Or does someone host them with their family? Must be a heck of an adventure for some of them.

Who was the English guy who hated the place and everything about living here and mouthed off on the forum under an alias?
