Perhaps prior to the Pro 50 final Knackerville could give an aerobatic display above the ground and then a landing demonstration on the ground and emerge fully padded to bat? Alternatively he could skydive into the pitch when he's due to bat?
If only he'd thought this through and had a helicopter license instead.

I'm fairly confident you can buy a helicopter license here at a reasonable price, it's still an option. He'd surely be able to fly one after having watched a couple of instructional videos.

Russia have done a barter deal with Zim for the half of the country that China don't own for 30 Russian helicopters that you won't get spares for and not more than 1 will fly at any one time so there will be some cheap military/medical spec choppers on the market fairly soon.

If Russia don't need evac choppers in the middle of a war you'd have to think they're not very good.

What they should do is delay that Pro 50 final until Eagles have a full strength squad after the qualifiers or it will really be a non event. Although Rhinos are a bit of a one man band they still have good players.
Eagles without NW, Madhevere, Maru, Ervine, Chivanga and Akram are a seriously depleted side. I don't think Rhinos lose anyone for National call-up.

I've watched bowlers bowling at Knackerville. Once a guy gets a rep and is going well they lose their line and length.
All the variations start coming out which are often not well executed, instead of bowling good stock balls and being a bit patient. They need less fear and panic and more determination. Maybe a six three field and bowl 4th and 5th stump?
The other option is to make sure you don't get the openers out so he doesn't get to bat
You'd have thought his marketing arm would have at least livestreamed or televised that last innings so we could have watched. Some advertisement breaks with Knackerville flying around Zim espousing how lekker the country and people were would be a nice touch
He'd have to avoid the vast Chinese heap leaching and alluvial mining that is making the country look like a wasteland.

My only advice for Mr Theo who is now tweeting that ZC are engaging immigration is that for it to work it has to be done QUIETLY. Please stop tweeting about it.

Our Chairman can 100% get it done and all the friends he has made at the ICC will look the other way. If its true then I'm expecting that by the end of the season it will be sorted. We just don't need public outcry if he really kicks on. Let's stick to the Raza regen story. Citizenship by investment is a valid and legal way he can do it.

Interestingly enough I think if they can get Byrom by some miracle then they just might have found 3 guys to replace the big 3. Let's see what happens.

I've gone through Theos tweets, fully understand the point SZ and Googly are making that he actually has to reside in Zimbabwe for 4 years to get citizenship or at least 3 years as per ICC rules. Obviously Antum hasn't done that, once he does I don't think any one of us has any problem, because obviously the lad is talented.

But yeah, I get the point that we are bending the rules to get him in, which ethically is not correct. Legally we can always find ways to get it done. Can't really give my opinion here, up to the Zimbabweans to accept him or not.

For me the thing is bigger countries like the UK bend the rules too when they spot a talent. All the way to the home office. They did this with Archer when they changed the rules for him. Muyeye was given refugee status in a very suspicious way and they are already engaging immigration for him. So what's wrong if we do it? We actually need Naqvi, England just want to tick the diversity box with Muyeye.

I can guarantee you now no other Zimbabwean has gotten refugee status that quickly and for such bogus reasons. They helped him. Any other person they would have told them you are over 18, your mother's political links have nothing to do with you. Had Muyeye not see another route he would be in our 11 by now. So it's only fair

Ponting made some interesting comments about the end of his career. I think it was against SA (?) where he got that yorker where he ended up in a tangled heap and the consensus was that he was past it. He refuted that and said his reaction time etc was still just as good. He said it was a mindset where he was in a panic to go out on a high.
Don't forget the better guys also read it a fraction earlier and their reaction time can actually be slightly less as well.

Anyway my point was it's going to be interesting to see when our Big 3 might show when they're ageing with the bat. Williams was in the form of his life a few months back and Raza keeps banging them, Craig is a bit iffy in T20. He had a really poor Namibia tour, but he's absolutely good enough to make the adjustments. He will have to get out of his comfort zone and get going a bit earlier. Let's see...

There's a long list of countries that hand out investment citizenships, some quite surprising ones actually. Clearly some quarters frown upon it. Its particularly galling for people that have had to do the hard and bitter yards to watch someone get handed a passport with without having had to donate a kidney....and to watch some citizens who deserve to be shipped off to St Helena Island to join Napoleon, enjoying the rights of a full citizen in a nice country whilst a decent person has to do some years.

They should implement a world wide system whereby you can swap out criminals and ne'er do wells for deserving people and ship the bad guys to Antartica or Chad. We'd have 2 million slots immediately available

I'd think Knackerville has proven he's got currency and the 500k is probably "slightly" negotiable
America has a Talent Based Immigration program, as do a few other countries. I think UK does as well.
Not just sporting, if you can manufacture a nuclear device like Einstein you'll also get fast tracked.

To be fair we're getting bored of watching the usual people get endless opportunities which they keep squandering through lack of prep and bottle. The mentality is to be better than others in Zim to get a better deal in Zim as opposed to wanting to compete on equal terms with the best teams on the planet.
Guys like Houghton and Flower wanted to show they could compete on a world stage. We need some tougher fellas.
