Not a very good squad. Pakistan will win all the three ODIs, but in T20s, Zimbabwe do stand a chance as Pakistan themselves are quite pathetic at the format.

Campbell should have been in there in the ODI squad and so should Burl. I'm not convinced on Ervine and Williams at this age. I also think probably N Welch should have been given another go in ODIs.

Pakistan in ODIs are looking good. I don't see them losing there.

I’ve more faith in the Pakistani lads throwing a game or two for the bookies than our squad winning on merit

Madhevere will be ruined all these selections based on poor form. Should be nowhere near that squad even though it is only one format.
Campbell has been skewered again. What sort of message does this send out.

Nick Welch should not be in the squad, he has not scored runs domestically. If we ignore that what is the point in the franchises.

Musekiwa over Campbell is a disgrace in ODIs, are we picking a specialist number 8 who can't bowl due to an ankle injury? Batting him at 7 is at least one place too high. Campbell averages over 37 in List A cricket, he has done the hard yards and is in good form.

It can’t be beneficial to him in any way.

Coming in after Wellington at the last proper qualifiers was the absolute nadir of his career surely  going from opening to coming in at 8 or whatever it was. Should have sent the message to lay off the mbanje and hit the nets.

Raza clearly did not want to change the T20 squad from the qualifiers which broadly I do not have an issue with apart from Wes who is offering nothing.

But the ODI squad does not make sense, who are the openers? is Marumani classed as an opener in 50 over cricket? is Bennett? not clear at all. Musekiwa in the ODI is bizare, they think he is Chigumbura, not in the same league, no way near.

Now they are in the squad they should give Musekiwa and maposa a good run. See if they have what it takes.

Masuku, very similar level and style bowler. Can bat a little bit. Never even had the slightest of chances because he’s from Bulawayo and a not a multi-millionaire.
This. For all the chatter about quotas, 25% of the squad are murungus. It’s the Ndebele boys from blues who get the raw deal. Never see that on social media from all those Asian fans though do you.

Queens women have made the bossiest score so far in this season’s NPL and you just know none of them will be anywhere near the lady chevrons.

Some of the worst selections I've ever seen for a Zimbabwe squad.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Just a really poor squad. For the first time in a while there's some healthy competition domestically, yet they select lads like Madhevere who has achieved absolutely nothing in the last 2 years. Hoping we get dicked and DM gets the sack
