houghton, Streak, Whatmore,Adams, Sammons, etc are all quality coaches.

So why has no one made any significant difference? Besides brief periods in the Streak era?

This tells me that going hard out on a top level national coach isnt the answer.
We need to invest in the technical coaches and development coaches. Googly can coach the national team at half the wage, the players ability is long sorted by then, its just selection and motivation at that point.

We're down to this-
Assemble all the batters in Zim. Put a bowling machine on 145 back of a length on middle and each batsman gets as many goes as he wants to start with a ramp and play every shot round the clock, up and down. Put the best 8 in his T20 squad and let him pick his own line-up.
There's probably about 4 guys that would do it well, but pick the next best 4

Have an ambulance on standby for free health care at any private hospital. You dont need to pay anymore. Everything is free. Glory be!
I'm going to save myself 12k a year. I'm a bit worried I might be prejudiced on check-in. Maybe I'll keep paying...

Surely that's an exaggeration? 12K a year for health insurance? Unless you have a large family that sounds crazy for Zim.

Its 11800. Ya i have dependents. Thats just for emergencies as well. Doesn't cover doctors appointments or prescriptions.
Its only for medical emergency and evac. No x-rays, MRI's nothing, unless there's an accident or anything thst requires hospitalization. Its brutal.

The one private hospital here is part-owned by Grace. They'll probably turf out the peasants. She only eats cake!

Its not for Zim. Its an offshore insurance. If you can manage it, its the way forward. If you're involved in a nasty accident here or get cancer or something equally horrendous youre in deep trouble. You go to a government hospital to die. I mean a doctor will come round, write a prescription and a relative must now go to a chemist somewhere else to buy the medicine. If you need an actual hospital procedure here...well the best of luck.
So the people that could afford it would buy an insurance that would enable them to be casevac'd to an SA private facility. Theyre about to encounter the government trying to get free shit out of them because gov medical has completely collapsed. Same as here, our government is about to copy theirs.
Now some really good private institutions have been built here, but they're shithouse expensive. Offshore and private medical aid covers it, but it is damned expensive.
I dont want to risk the local slightly cheaper private medical aid because I've been on mine for so long and have pre-existing conditions so I'm trapped.

Disaster is looming if they enforce this. Of course folk find a way around it though, eventually. The immediate issue will be another exodus of decent doctors and nurses.

If you dont have medical aid you can pitch up with a wad of cash and they'll see you. If you dont have cash they'll watch you bleed out in reception

In private practice its a mix. The tendancy is for white to go to white and black to black, but that's changed quite a bit. Same story with dentists. In government its mostly black guys but thats coz they have to do time because they borrowed money. A lot of guys in gov did their medical degrees in Cuba. I think they get less than a thousand a month before tax. Theyre forever striking for more money and getting arrested for having the audacity to want to live above the breadline.
Weve got some good doctors here, the referrals to go to some fancy place in SA are less than they used to be.
