T20 anyone can win on the day. That being said, IDK how I feel about a 20 team world cup. Way too many teams unless the entire thing is a knockout. 14-16 teams would probably be best and then keep the ODI world cup to top 10 + 4 qualifiers.

Lanzone was right all along with the tape and the ball together

ODI i think 16 is the right amount. 4 groups of 4, top 2 make it out of the group. Then go knockout from there.

Having more than a 20 isn’t bad idea, it actually gives you more "World Cup vibes".Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Mon Jan 26, 2026 11:30 pmT20 anyone can win on the day. I think the full members should be in ODI World Cup and the rest 4 or 6 could play the qualifiers.
I don't see ICC and the cricket fans are really keen to see cricket grow apart from the associate members and they're fans.

16 for the ODI WC, 32 for T20.
And every single country should have to go through proper qualifying every time apart from the host.

I don't mind this also. I would say maybe top 4 from the past tournament, automatically qualify.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Tue Jan 27, 2026 12:54 pm16 for the ODI WC, 32 for T20.

How the zone each region and how many teams can qualify from that region will be the big debate.
