I guess there are still alot of white school-aged people left. Alot of photos from private schools still show many white students. The problem for Zimbabwean cricket is losing them once they leave the country for university.

The boys started with a comfortable T20 win against Border yesterday. http://www.webcricket.co.za/games/view/ ... 4013Dec11/ Sam Curran, 31 off 45, and Keith Jaure, 27* off 21 the top scorers.
Border have two impressively named bowlers in, presumably twin brothers, Siphosethu and Sophosoxolo Ndlongondlongo. How I would love to see those names on the international stage in the future
In todays 50-over match, our youngster have bowled out KZN Inland for 122, the wickets equally shared around: http://www.webcricket.co.za/games/view/ ... 7114Dec11/
... and they win by 8 wickets (D/L), Angus Curtis 53*.

I think you are guys are going to see the results of the intergration of our Juniors to play with SA provinces in 5-10 years . In Zim our Juniors only play during school time and their games are limited .There is little time for them to practice in the middle under game conditions . Most of the deficiencies in technique that our current players have is as a result of inadequate middle time when they were juniors .When you are Juniors things like lack of footwork , playing spin , swinging action , reading game situation can be taught earlier on .
What I advocate for is to reviive our schools provincial system and get the boys to play more cricket domestically .
Were some teams are weaker , Harare can be split between Mash Central & Mash West & Byo Mat North & Mat South to make the structure competitive .That set up can be split between say Eastern provinces vs Western Provinces with the top two provinces battling it out in the semis then a final .School games could be during the week and provincial games during
For example Manicaland vs Mash East
Manicaland would have players from Mutare Boys High ,Hillcrest , Dangamvura High , St Dominics
Mash East - Peterhouse ,Watershed ,Marondera High ,
The Strength of the future Zim team will lie in the strength of our nursery garden , the Schools system.

The U-13s tournament was province based - that looks like a move in the direction you want.

In yesterdays match Zim U13 beat Boland by 6 wickets after bowling out Boland for 113, 2 wickets apiece for captain Walter Huchu, Kundai Matigimu and Nicholas Welch, the latter also the top scorer with 31*. Well done!
