Thought as the awards ceromeny was drawing closer will could all take a go at predicting who will win the awards and we can see at the end who has guessed correctly.
I have left out the categories Female cricketer of the year and umpire of the year as we know little about what has gone on this year in these parts of the game.
1.Cricketer of the Year,Prosper Utseya

3. Bowler of the Year, Ray Price
4. Rookie of the Year, Malcolm Waller

Re: Zimbabwe Cricketer Of The Year Predictions
Let me just attempt the first four:
1.Cricketer of the Year: Prosper Utseya (Prosper just beats Ray, thanks to his all round efforts against Kenya and his new found confidence in captaincy)
2. Batsman of the Year: Hamilton Masakadza
3. Bowler of the Year: Ray Price
4. Rookie of the Year: Foster Mutizwa

Re: Zimbabwe Cricketer Of The Year Predictions
My Predictions:
1. Cricketer of the Year: RAYMOND WILLIAM PRICE
Reason > For the last one and a half year since his comeback, Price has taken 27 wickets in 21 ODIs at 24.03, econ 3.39.
Details with statistics: (http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/pla ... ew=innings)
Why not Utseya let me explain:
For the last one and a half year Utseya has taken 13 wickets in 19 matches at 40.23, econ 3.64.
Details with statistics: (http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/pla ... ew=innings)
I didn't think about the domestic performance just the International cricket. I reckon for clinching the top award, it's better to judge them by ODI's performance.
2. Batsman of the Year: HAMILTON MASAKADZA
Reason > Most consistent performer with the bat. For the last one and a half year, scored 632 runs in 22 ODIs at 30.09, best 87 with 6X50.
Details with statistics: (http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/pla ... ew=innings)
3. Bowler of the Year: RAYMOND WILLIAM PRICE
For the same reason. Just beat Tawanda Mupariwa because off late Mupariwa lost his form a bit including the domestic competition.
4. Rookie of the Year: FORSTER MUTIZWA
5. Best School's Cricketer: ? ? ?
6. Coach of the Year: STEPHEN MANGONGO
