Have I just read that correctly? U think Mark Mbofana and Mkhululi Nyathi are better than Brandon Diplock? Ive fortunately seen all three of them play a number of times and I cant fathom how you come to that conclusion. You are the one who isnt serious. Anyway, we know the Vigne Cup is a very good standard of cricket so we will let the upcoming season do the talking. Diplock is the next best bowling all rounder at Eagles after Bright Mugochi. He is a solid number 7/8 at First Class level. And economically in the 2 games he played he was the best seamer by a long way. I believe the goal in limited overs cricket is to tie batsman up and chase small totals. Thats what he did, better than all other seamers.

rupeni wrote:Rupeni seeing as you are a ZC employee and would hang around HSC can I get your thoughts on the following young pace bowlers?

Carl Mumba
Cuthbert Musoko
Brandon Diplock
Brighton Zhawi
Kyle Bowie

*****Carl Mumba: The best fast bowler out off this lot and the quickest.. He will go far if he keeps his head straight

Cuthbert Musoko: Kind of lost his way a little bit. Needs to move away from the Goats and maybe move to Rhinos so as to get more game time.. He's lost a yard of pace also.

*****Brandon "Dipaz" Diplock: The best cricketer out of this lot. A genuine swing bowler who operates at about 125-130 clicks but I feel bowls within himself..He has great control and an excellent slower ball (bowls the slower leg cutter and the back of the hand one very well) but needs to toughen up(he quickly whines and gives up if things dont go his way) and "grind" when not given an opportunity.. He also needs to work on his fitness. He can also hold the willow. If he works on his fitness and mental toughness there's no reason for him not to become the best allrounder in the country.

Brighton Zhawi: A hard worker and a very positive lad. He's a nice chap and has the right attitude.. He had a decent debute season

Kyle Bowie: A genuine in-swing bowler in the "Meth" pace range.. A torn hamstring cut his season short.. Nice bloke who rocks a mean beard!! lol
Contradicting much?

Mark Vermeulen 'exemplary' in time at Newquay: http://www.bbc.com/sport/cricket/37295781
The team are set to finish bottom of the Cornwall Premier League, having failed to win a game so far this season.

"Despite the obvious case for frustration, Mark has behaved absolutely perfectly, and we've had no issues," added Eggins.

"As a club, the one disappointment is that we're going to be losing him at the end of the season."

...

Vermeulen, who scored 550 runs for Newquay at an average of 39.29, is now turning his attention to helping other cricketers develop their skills after he leaves the club at the end of the season:

"I'm probably going to be looking at getting into coaching, I'm getting a bit too old now for the game," he added.

"The body gets a bit sore and it takes a few days of bed rest to recover."

This is one player who should just walk into any Zim T20 team. its a shame he has never been really given a chance.

He's got a decent eye and hits the ball hard, but he will struggle at the top level. Most of our guys do, but I think there's a ceiling to CZ's ability.

Because Timoni or what ever his name is didn't give him a chance!
He's in no boozers like neither, he's in the second Division of the Greater Manchester Premier League, pipe down, be serious please..
Why are you getting aggro about Dipaz?? Is he your mate? Well you have to learn to look at both sides of the coin before you make a judgement.. Dipaz is lazy.. Dipaz did not attend one fitness session last season and made excuses or disappeared when there was one.. He did not attend any fitness tests (you have to go for one to be eligible for selection.. BT hated them but still did them). Timoni got a lot of flack from Nathan Waller and Raza for selecting Dipaz coz of his terrible attitude.. So dont blame Timoni (He went against the Eagles selection committee's decision on Dipaz). I like the lad but he won't be selected for any National side until he stops whining and starts working hard.. Maybe you could be useful and tell him this.. This is what the coaches and his fellow players think of him.. #RealTalk

My friend if you can't take wickets when the coach picks you as a strike bowler in LIST A cricket then you go on and take bucket loads of wickets in this "Greater Manchester league" then that shows there's nothing "Great/Greater about it.. The standard is sh!t simple.. Let him take wickets in List A or First Class were it counts than some league you think is of a High standard.. Oh and tell him Eagles Preseason training starts on Monday( He knows.. The first month is fitness). Club cricket is done and he isn't flying back until guys are done with fitness..I'll bet on that!!!

Woah dude what do you have against the guy? Is he a nasty person or something?

Agreed he is lazy, but still outperforms most players, and I happen to know for a FACT that you are lying about his not being at Fitness sessions. Got that from a guy in the Eagles circle ! He seems to be very friendly with other pacers such as T. Munyaradzi and G. Aliseni. He seemed a nice bloke the time I met him? Dunno what u have against the guy to make up stuff on a forum.
