The loosing mentality we've been talking about for years has finally gripped me as a fan. I just don't expect anything anymore, I can't see the faintest glimmer of light anywhere, and I'm struggling to see the point of it all. And while I continue to visit the forum on an almost daily basis I've noticed that I don't have to say much recently or don't feel like posting. Another day, another defeat, another bit of ZC corruption or sheer idiocy, it feels like groundhog day ... to say nothing of the garbage and vitriol thrown about by some of the newer forumites :(

It was a good idea to not give national contract to Vusi. Waller and Mutumbami also don't deserve to be in the national team. If they can't score runs against A side in the home-ground where else can we expect them to perform? Mumba and Musakanda are clearly the bright prospects for Zim

Btw, Afghanistan has defeated Bangladesh in today's match. They looked very competitive in the first game as well. I wonder how we would play against Afghans at their home soil( or India/UAE). Their new middle order consisting of youngsters are pretty talented, and they have bunch of good spinners and fast bowlers. With our current lineup I don't think we could win as many games as we did in the past. They are already better than us in t-20 format, and our ODI team is also not performing. Ireland is sinking, so playing with them is our best bet. If we don't fix our problems quickly, we might as well get relegated to Div1 and play against emerging HK and Nepal.

Yes, tat's how I felt after the 2015 CWC when we blew quite a few chances to win, and that led me away from Zim Cricket for a few months. A chance of watching them play again brought me back but this is the worst we have been in years with no hope of any progress. The worst part is, we have been able to bury the misconception of "the more we play, the better we become" and "we don't have enough opportunities for the up and coming squads". Both have happened over the last year and we have been well and truly exposed.

There is some hope on Musakanda, Mumba, and may be Murray and Nyauchi to take the baton forward? But I'm not holding my breath. Could Taibu bring some lost talent back? If so, when? Not holding my breath for that too...

Players still not paid, almost pulled out of today's game, will refuse to play in the 4th match on Monday if not paid in the next couple of days.

got a feeling they will make the 16 guys they gave contracts play the remaining games if they fail to reach an agreement with the rest..sad stuff really..
was there for one of the first games. Mumba looked much faster than Madziva. the leggie looked good as well as did Musakanda batting.

its a really tough choice between picking inexperienced future stars or talented senior players who just don't have the mentality to win..

Musukanda has been a stand out. He deserves a contract of some sort. And with the senior players failing to perform he may as well move on to the top side proper.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'

young Musakanda stuck on 99..really unfortunate but great effort... much better score this time the senior middle order did its job.
