Madness as usual from the selectors.

How the hell do u drop Hamilton in white ball cricket?
Chari is garbage.
Mumba is too erratic for limited overs cricket.

Get Vusi in. Get Hammy in. Attack them with Cremer, Chisoro, Tiripano, heck we don't need seamers anymore. Toss in Wellington too ! Hammy and Chibhabha will do a job !

Need a really good partnership here from these two, both in now and need to show responsibility

Maybe he has but no worse than Mutizwa

ODI appearances Mutumbami 31 : Mutizwa 17

Runs Mutumbami 552 : Mutizwa 403

50s Mutumbami 3 : Mutizwa 4

Average Mutumbami 20.44 : Mutizwa 31.00

Srtrike rate Mutumbami 71.04 : Mutizwa 80.27

Catches Mutumbami 26 @ 0.838 per innings : Mutizwa 10 @ 1.250 per game

I get the feeling that the majority feel Mutumbami deserves more chances but Mutizwa doesn't

I'm certainly not the leader of the Chari fan club, but the Maruma comparisons are particularly harsh.
He made a Test match 80 just the other week so he's not quite a walking wicket. He is frustrating though and seems to be lacking in situational awareness.
Hopefully the aim is not that he'll be the next Matsikenyeri. We shouldn't waste our time with people with a ceiling of averaging 20.

By the way, how long until one of these guys gets out playing a sweep/reverse sweep. They are playing with fire.

He did make 80, but he has only made double figures a few times and now has had 16 innings. Ave in the mid teens. If he becomes Matsi he will have had a big improvement.

The thing that he has in his favour in my mind is his conversion rate for centuries. He has a decent number of tons for his age

He only has 3, I don't think his FC is overly impressive to be honest. In fact I think that's the biggest knock against him... if he averages 22 at FC level how can he be expected to do well at Test level.

If Chari could get to the level of someone like The Last Rhodesian, Mark Vermeulen I think that would be a win. As it currently stands there's 8 guys in the team that are better than him with the bat (including Cremer and Tiripano).
