Eagles 249/5 at close on day two. Butterworth 89*, Lamb 94, Mupariwa 3/38. Not looking good for Tuskers...

Tuskers needs to score more runs in the 2nd innings and bat for a long time. Tomorrow their job is to try to pick up the remaining Eagles wicket as soon as possible.

Great to see Keegan Meth appearing for the Tuskers.

Good innings for Dion Ebrahim (87), Bonaparte Mujuru (71) and returning Keegan Meth (39) with the bat. Another failure for the skipper Terrence Duffin who scored only 6 runs. Ngulube and M Williams was dismissed for a duck along with Gavin Ewing falling cheaply for 5.

Thabo Mboyi's stats aren't good so far. He should have made way for either Marsh or Takashurenge.

For Eagles, Manyumwa got a 5 wicket haul. Good to see English pacer Chris Silverwood picking up 3 wickets.

Greg Lamb was given the captaincy of Eagles and scored a notable 94 runs. Ryan Butterworth is still batting for 89*.

Not much for the Tuskers bowlers. But it's an encouraging fact that Tawanda Mupariwa's return to form picking up 3 wickets.

Ship look steady for the Eagles. I hope Butterworth goes on to make his hundred that will definately add a lot of confidance into his game. Lets hope the Eagles get a good lead and try to bowl the Tuskers side again.

Things are heating up in this match, if our national team guys keep disappointing i can see about 7 people who could replace them from these two teams
12.4 Odhiambo to Vermeulen, FOUR, that's an appalling long hop, Vermulen had plenty of time to get into position, drink a cup of tea, and pull the ball towards the long leg boundary- his first boundary today

You can say that again. I think with a fast expanding player base it will come down to the players in form when it comes National team selection. We can nolonger relay on potential and a few good knocks. We want consistant performers out the representing the country. One good exmple would be Vusi Sibanba. He was dropped from the side and he has really brought up his game of late. Which shows he wants to get back in the team.

Close of play score on day 3

Tuskers 237 & 101-5 - Eagles 419

Tuskers still 81 runs behind with just 5 wickets in hand

Chakava 109 and Butterworth 111 for Eagles while Mujuru 52* is about the last man able to stop Eagles tomorrow.

Tuskers is certainly in the backfoot and is very close to face yet an another loss. :(

Well done to Chakabva and Butterworth who both scored centuries.

Tawanda Mupariwa back in form taking 4 wickets in this match.

Why did't Gavin Ewing bowl at all, can't understand the fact :?:

For Tuskers, Duffin made a modest 22 runs. Dion Ebrahim failed this time so as Tafadzwa Ngulube and Keegan Meth.

The best things is that Bonaparte Mujuru is still in the wicket batting at 52*. Well done to him for another good innings.

The wickets of Gavin Ewing and Matthew Williams are still intact I reckon for the fact of sending two night-watchmen (Mboyi 0, Mupariwa 0*)
