It's a tough one, in most instance's you would hope for a clear vice captain who could take over if need be, in the mould of Michael Clarke and ponting in the aussie side. But a leadership like chain of command will come as the team settles a bit more. After all Leaders are groomed from a young age, so the likes of Elton and maybe taylor could come through. Williams is also a contender. I also think that those 3 are there because they are in the side on merit before the captaincy comes in.
Prosper hasn't done a bad job he just needs a bit more input from the rest of the team. Watch the other international sides, there is always other players apart from the captain that are helping a bowler out. the likes of Warne and gilcrest KP Ramdin in the current game in called in Roach from the boundary without Gayle and they got Katich on 99. It's a team game and everyone's ideas should be considered.

Re: Current national team Captain
Personally i feel Taibu will be a perfect replacement for Utseya if he was to be rested indefinitely cuz its not recommended to have a bowler as a captain. Most teams have an all-rounder or a batsmen as captain with the exception of Bangladesh who have Mortaza but he might not be as good as Shakib when he takes over. Raymond Price has knowledge about the game and commands respect as he is likely to lead from the front. Taibu or Price will do although i feel Tiba will be the best politics aside
12.4 Odhiambo to Vermeulen, FOUR, that's an appalling long hop, Vermulen had plenty of time to get into position, drink a cup of tea, and pull the ball towards the long leg boundary- his first boundary today
