FRom what i hear Hamilton and Sean were dropped on the basis that they failed their fitness tests. There has been however some rumblings are that the fitness test is not alteretd for certain parameters such as age, body structure, weight and is in favour of the young lads

a new regime is in place. Ill pop by Sports Club to see how Hami goes i expect a big one from the big guy. He has runs in the tank to give us a win or to and with Burl lurking we may ahve some stability finally between 3 and 5. Williams will respond with no less than a 50 over the weekend and it will be a good one.

With guys like Burl, Nathan Waller, Wellington and Mire etc all making the squad, I was hoping we were forming a very good squad. But seriously, how can you leave out Williams and Hami? Williams particularly is the pillar of our batting.

"One of the issues in the past was forcing guys to play domestic cricket," head coach Heath Streak told Cricbuzz on Thursday (February 9). "We've discussed it and decided that because Solomon has been playing a high level of cricket in Australia, we are happy for him to continue living and playing in Australia but to represent us at international level whenever he is available.

However Sean Williams, Hamilton Masakadza, Chamu Chibhabha and Tendai Chisoro were all left out after they failed to pass the minimum fitness standards set by the team management. Williams has also been struggling with a back injury.

All four players will be given a chance to force their way into the squad over the weekend, with Zimbabwe Cricket leaving two places available to those who perform well in the opening round of the Pro50 Championship, which has been brought forward to give players match practice ahead of the Afghanistan series.

Taylor actually scored runs against most oppositions he faced. Hamy and Williams, not so much.

Yes, Hammy and Williams are still good enough to crack the XI - so while I'm not advocating dropping Hami.

At the same time, how much time does he have left? He's almost 34 I think and with his lack of fitness he must surely be nearing the end of his career. He's probably one of the longest playing guys in the world, if not the longest.

shit hammy is and its better to play a 15 year old because
he cant do any worse. Hammy is not even dropped yet
