Recall Vusi Sibanda to the Test side
Re: Recall Vusi Sibanda to the Test side
Hopefully Waller joins him in the commentary team. He is also 33 and out of chances.

Yeah I noticed it at times. Interesting comments from the West Indies fans re Vusi http://caribbeancricket.com/topic/1140472Shortleg wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2017 10:28 amThe way Vusi crumbles in the commentary box highlights his mental ability for me. His thoughts are all over the place and he seems to lack confidence and granted being a good commentator does not mean you are a good batsman it feel it provides some insight into how such a talented batsman can fail so often
Re: Recall Vusi Sibanda to the Test side
A real aim fan will hope that vusi is never recalled. Was that would mean another boycott, or injuries, or a mass downturn in form and the team is desperate.
Off the top of my head, players (not playing this gets) that are ahead of Vusi in the pecking order;
Taffy
Burl
Williams
Mawoyo
Sezuza
Chamu
Chari
Murray (if available)
Byrom (if available at some point)
And dare I say even chapungu would be on par
Welch (ditto)

Re: Recall Vusi Sibanda to the Test side
Murray you’d have to pick as a keeper/batsman not as a bat. He’s got potential, but needs work, he has some technical issues that would never survive the West Indian seamers.
Re: Recall Vusi Sibanda to the Test side
Murray has a weaker u19 batting record than both Jongwe and Mashinge!ZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2017 12:53 pmA real aim fan will hope that vusi is never recalled. Was that would mean another boycott, or injuries, or a mass downturn in form and the team is desperate.

Mawoyo is an opener. Vusi is not.
Williams?

Taffy, Burl and Chari seriously? Ahead of Vusi?

Chamu has never been and will never be a better batsman than Vusi.
I'll let the Chapungu one slide
I've been saying Kasuza is long overdue.

Re: Recall Vusi Sibanda to the Test side
By the time Vusi was 23 like Burl he had scored serious runs against proper A teams and international teams.
Not flopped against Canada, Namibia, Scotland, Netherlands etc like Burl.

Out of curiosity, do you not rate Burl?
Re: Recall Vusi Sibanda to the Test side
I always liked Vusi and thought him to be talented, I even included him in my Test XI competition team. However the Vusi ship has sailed I think, he isn't even playing cricket anymore it seems.
