Maybe different in T20s for sure. But in an ODI, give me two guys who you are sure can see off the first 10 overs more often than not.

No he's a good player, can play some extraordinary shots. Hasn't done it at international level I know but....

I’d have him come in down the order and finish games personally.

I half agree. If you want to compete with the better teams you need a stroke maker

Which is kind of why he is in the same territory as those two tbh. When they are on it, they are red hot. But doesn't happen often enough to rely on, and likelihood of being found out and/or nerves getting to them at this level.

Worth sticking with in T20's I reckon.
