Yes that threw the door wide open. Brilliant game. I wanted Sri Lanka to win but was also desperate to watch Stokes bat that next over.

The bowling bench mark of ODI cricket got absolutely spanked by the Aussies, who then some how with their in superior bowling lineup were able to restrict a Bangladeshi batting lineup littered with ultra class/World class/first class/any other class batsman

IMO the pitches we’re seeing this World Cup are what I would call ‘neutral pitches’ pretty flat, not a lot of assistance for spinners or seamers, the high scoring matches are actually a tad boring it’s as if they’re playing on synthetic decks.

I’m sick of arguing with you Kriterion because no matter what I say you’ll disagree, if you want to believe Mushy is in the same class as Kohli & Williamson and that Bangladesh have the best ODI bowling lineup that’s up to you, you’re side is going really well just enjoy it

Afghanistan putting up a noble fight against India. India are still favourites to win but I am interested in how confident the Indian commentators seem to be. They are making it sound like the game is already won despite Afghanistan having 4 wickets in hand and needing 53 runs from 42 balls. A win for the minnows is certainly possible from this point regardless of what bowlers have overs left.

Yes, I noticed that about the commentators too.

Until Nabi got out, I thought they might get over the line.

It's safe to say if Zim had played India, India would have scored 450 and we'd have been bowled out for 78.

If you’re sick of arguing then stop creating arguments. I won’t lie, I do rather enjoy making bold statements about BD - always within reason - because I can trust you to completely miss the point and drag it into a long ass debate, which I win 90% of the time. When I say “bowled better with the new ball in a specific series” you read “better than Boyle/Southern will ever be”. When I say “if that’s the benchmark, statistically it should be this” you hear “best without qualification”. Surely you’ve heard of such a thing as nuance.

I never said BD are the benchmark. English comprehension dude. I said if you Australia with a home ODI average of 30+ in the last 4 years is inferior to Bangladesh’s home average of 30 or whatever it is. Now arithmetic. 30 is less than 35. If you are sick of arguing, is it my fault for understanding basic math?

I’ve gotten a lot of predictions wrong over the years. But I’ve gotten a lot of them right. May just be a numbers game...even a ugly dude might get laid if he asks out 100 girls.

As a neutral fan, Kriterion & Jaybro, please don't stop arguing. It's more often than not a compelling read with lots of good arguments on either side, even if you tend to miss or misinterpret each others points on a regular basis (but that's a seemingly inevitable factor in most online debates anyway).

+1, as long as the arguments don't go to the troll levels of hhm.

Proteas will still be in it if they win against Pakistan today, will still be a very slim chance though, they need to bank on other results going their way, and England losing all 3 games.

This is the worst SA team in their history and the best one they’ll ever have again. Look at the CSA officials crammed in on that balcony having flown fc and living it up in a fancy hotel. Where the fuck have I seen that before?
