Hey this is great news. You will be able to tell us firsthand what the domestic scene is actually like in Zimbabwe. What are your parents feelings about you possibly relocating to Zimbabwe?

They were angry that i wrote to Kevin Curran without their permission (Very Child like i know), but my dad was extrenly proud that i was accepted. He used to be a fast bowler too and i guess i'm following in his footsteps. If i can be half the bowler my dad was, I'll be so happy ! :) However they arent so happy that I will be staying in Zimbabwe on the offseason. I've got some friends where i can stay at though :D
Ya will be great to see what the standard of cricket is actually like aswell, interesting times ahead :D

I hope it all goes well. The cricket scene of Zimbabwe is probably very basic compared to England - certainly in terms of money and facilities. Let's hope you make the Rhinos team and play well - except against the Tuskers of course.

Cheers Eugene. My dad gave me some huge speech about the state of Zimbabwean Cricket last night, and i just told him that i know much more than he does about the current state ;) If it wasnt for an improvment in the domestic structure i wouldn't have been allowed to go as my family would have classed it as a waste of time. In all honesty playing for England has never Interested me, Zimbabwe is my homeland and Zimbabwe is my aim :) Thanks Mr Lavery, i appreciate it, and ya if i get on, dont wann jump the gun to soon :D

I will be interested in your thoughts on Kevin Curran - he isn't the most popular guy on these forums due to his coaching tactics when he was in charge of the national side.
I guess the most concerning things regarding Zimbabwe at the moment is the delicate political enviroment and the fact that outside of cricket there probably isnt many opportunities to make money.

In any case congratulations and best of luck, i really hope you make it, you sound very passionate about life and Zimbabwe.
I'd like to class myself as a fast bowler mate, I was clocked at 83mph in the winter nets this year at Lancashire. So fingers crossed that will work in my favour, and i usually come in at number 4 for my club. Personally I'm more of a bowler than a batter, but I've scored a 70* and 83 this season, so i can certainly hold a bat. Thanks for the support guys, i really appreciate it. I'll certainly be letting you know how its going when I'm actually over there. :D
Because im not the sharpest tool in the shed...
Whats 83mph/h in km/hr?

Cheers mate. I'm leaving for Zimbabwe in 2 days with my Dad. Would should i expect from Curran ?? I've heard he's a good coach and a genuine nice fella, and from others I've heard the complete opposite. I don't want to get there and he asks me to bowl like 3 balls or something, which was the case in our search for fast bowlers. Anyway i really appreciate the support that you guys have given me, i really do ! :) It's not every day you get a chance like this i s'pose, fingers crossed I'll get on.
All I've heard at the moment is that it's Hot !! Very HOT ! ;)
