Franchise round 9 - Logan Cup & Pro50 (19 Feb - 25 Feb)
Re: Franchise round 9 - Logan Cup & Pro50 (19 Feb - 25 Feb)
No man, that was terrible. His bat was grounded almost past the bowling crease. We've seen the whatsapp message to the umpires to level the playing field. Clearly this guy hasn't chosen to ignore it.

To look into making it fairer, because it wasn't looking fair for the Asians and the blacks. The implication was whites were bribing. Cleverly worded.

Old welch certainly hasn’t been bribing, hasn’t had any decisions to his way in the past three seasons

More shenanigans from Byo. One batsman survives a plumb LBW from Chatara and then later is out of his crease by a meter with a direct throw and not given. Basically Mountaineers can't win this game and probably won't even manage a draw, and the batsman can't go out, it appears to be against the rules?

Evans is in the wickets again here. Higgins sitting nicely on 41*. We'll batted to Taffy Mupariwa!
A few questions though:
Why is a 38 year old off spinning Shingi Mazakadza still getting game time when there's lads in the system who can't break in?
Nkosana Mpofu for the tuskers. At 34 and a FC average of 25, surely that needs looking at.

I always felt sorry for Brandon diplock. There was a lad who genuinely wanted to play FC cricket but Timoni wouldn't let him at the Eagles. He was a serious swing bowler

Can anybody shed any actual meaningful light on the situation surrounding Navqi? Is he going to be available to play for Zimbabwe, or is he going to have to wait his turn just like the others? He's clearly a class above the rest. He's taking wickets for fun now now has considerable batting stats in all threw formats

Well Mike Frost is a genuine prospect as a left arm offie that can bat. It's just plain wrong.sloandog wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 12:08 pmEvans is in the wickets again here. Higgins sitting nicely on 41*. We'll batted to Taffy Mupariwa!
