Raza will have done well to avoid betting sponsorship logos throughout all the T20 leagues he's played.

Good point. PJ needs to make a deal with them. The money Zimbos spend on betting with money they can't afford to lose is scary.Marshmallow wrote: ↑Mon Jun 30, 2025 5:08 pmPerhaps the ZC domestic matches will be featured on their betting app.
Most disposable income is spent on phones, data, gambling and booze...and small house

We are a degenerate lot

I know the target is unreachable, but I still would like to see us play a little proactively. Going out there to block for 2 days is not the way to do it.
It's so obvious our mentally weak we are as a team. We always go out there thinking, "just don't lose" as opposed to, "we can win this" or "just play your game".
We always put ourselves on the back foot before the other team does anything. I expect us to roll over quite quickly if we stick with 1.75 RR

Imagine that shit show. Trying to bet on sides and you have no idea whose playing until the game starts.Marshmallow wrote: ↑Mon Jun 30, 2025 5:08 pmPerhaps the ZC domestic matches will be featured on their betting app.
It would open up so much (more) corruption

Well the Jackal007 guys will be relying on someone to give them an inside track so they can set the odds.
Not sure what I should ask as a weekly retainer?

I wonder how much a player getting 300 a month with a wife, two kids, rent and school fees and a sick football team will accept to do what he's told?
What could possibly go wrong?

I had a look on X earlier. Its about as toxic as it gets.
I see Wellie is the hot topic with Zolsky justifying why he's there and others attacking him.
Here's my 10c worth on this game in particular-
In hindsight we probably would have done better by doing away with both Wellie and Vinnie and just played seamers.
That first day was critical and we let them get away from us.
We lost further ground when we only had one seamer in their second innings in the crucial first session when we needed something to happen so they didn't get away from us.
Wellie did end up with a good return but the horse had well and truly bolted.
Is he our best spinner? Ya probably. He's a good player and its not a high bar. He's reasonably confident of being picked in every game in every format and I'd guess he's on a very very good contract. When he quits he will remain in the system on a similar salary. He can play with a clear head every game and the outcome is irrelevant. Thats a pretty good head space to be in.
