Your league looks might impressive ... although seeing Amla, Malinga, Dhoni, and Jadeja in a Mountaineers' line-up feels slightly surrealtotoro wrote:zimbos_05 wrote:One of my mates used to run a soccer simulation on another forum. He had a program that would allow you to input the squads and their attributes. Then each round the person would select their team and the system would run the simulation. Not sure how that would work on here though. There is a few different simulators you can use for cricket matches. I run a Zimbabwe Premier League on another forum. I was tempted to start it over here, but I couldn't work out how to get code boxes to place commentary and scorecards in.brmtaylor.com admin wrote:I was thinking that might be the most interactive way of doing it actually. We'd just need to come up with a fair formula. As Jemisi said, some sort of combination between recent form and career form... and then a way so each franchise owner can select an XI and a match "happens".![]()
So I can help when it's time to have matches with the teams.

Is it limited overs only? It would be great if you could run a version of it over here as well with our squads and different formats.

Rhinos would like to draft Tendai Chisoro with our 15th pick.

I'm a bit disappointed you did not retain one of your promising young spinners, Jemisi.

The CODE tag is more aimed at programmer types and puts everything in a scrolly box for easy copy'n'pasting
Code: Select all
like this
But I added a custom tag, PRE, a while back, which just displays everything in monospaced font
like thisthat should do the job nicely. Doesn't appear in the new post screen because it's custom, but you can type it in manually.

Re: Phantom Draft
With everyone left with $500 at the end of this, can we all pick just one more guy as reserve and work on his development? Please

Thank you foreignfield. I have got better as the seasons have passed.foreignfield wrote:Your league looks might impressive ... although seeing Amla, Malinga, Dhoni, and Jadeja in a Mountaineers' line-up feels slightly surreal![]()

The Zimbabwe Premier League is just a 50 over competition, but I can use the same simulator for first class matches as well. I'm not sure how I will simulate T20 matches, which will be a problem.

That looks perfect. I was hoping one of the Admin could help me with this.maehara wrote:Since this idea intrigues me...

Looks like I better start doing some rating of the players, with the drafts nearly finished.

You guys took Munyede and Kudakwashe Denga Bhasikoro was a toss up for 15th pick. I'd be quite happy to give him a pay as you play contract.foreignfield wrote:I'm a bit disappointed you did not retain one of your promising young spinners, Jemisi.

If everybody gets another 500 $ pick, as Crimson suggested, you might find a bit of competition for the BycicleJemisi wrote:You guys took Munyede and Kudakwashe Denga Bhasikoro was a toss up for 15th pick. Yeah Njanji has 10 wickets in three games, just thought I didn't have enough places for potential that hasn't seen enough game time.
