Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
The guy looks like Kevin Duers' description on cricinfo: "Blond, tall and athletic".
A further search brought up the team photo where Duers stands next to Laurence de Grandhomme
But the really shocking thing about that photo is Heath Streak's atrocious moustache (if you'd like to share that with us, Crimson).

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
I thought you would not fall for that! And by the way, I was thinking of using 3 other faces from there for the quiz, but not to be, now that you have identified the sourceforeignfield wrote:But the really shocking thing about that photo is Heath Streak's atrocious moustache (if you'd like to share that with us, Crimson).

Sorry, overeagerness got the better of me. I was about to press submit for my Kevin Duers' guess, but then I wanted to know whether my guess was right and searched for the photoCrimsonAvenger wrote:And by the way, I was thinking of using 3 other faces from there for the quiz, but not to be, now that you have identified the source

No worries. I'm still kicking myself that I did not make a quiz question out of that Younghusband fellow

453. To keep us company until the Test match gets under way, again a question about fathers and sons. Who is this distinguished FC cricketer and administrator, whose son went on to represent Zimbabwe and enjoyed his brightest day in the sun in the same match as the father of a current cricketer who will be taking the field tomorrow?

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
This is an absolutely stunning question! I'm going with Don Arnott as the answer. Had no idea about Rod Latham before this question

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
Absolutely correct: Don Arnott, a former wicket-keeper and honorary life vice president of ZCU until he was stripped of the role in 2007 alongside other notable former administrators.CrimsonAvenger wrote:This is an absolutely stunning question! I'm going with Don Arnott as the answer.
Neither had I. I was checking for a possible link of Kevin Arnott to NZ, and up came the scorecard from the 1992 Test match at BAC where both Arnott and Ron Latham scored a century in what was for both their second ever Test match. Unbelievably they both only played two more Tests.Had no idea about Rod Latham before this question
If Tom Latham scores a ton in this series, he would join the group of fathers and sons who have achieved that feat in the same city but on a different ground. I wonder how often that has happened outside London.
