Campbell Jnr has scored yet another half century, at a decent lick too. Is he now seriously worth talking about ?

WHY Tuskers lost. What the scorebook does NOT tell you!

I have already posted this once, and the system lost it, so I will have to compose it over again in brief, in case I'm wasting my time.

Eagles did not so much win the match as Tuskers lost it through the most appalling and incompetent display of slip fielding I have ever seen. In the space of about 45 minutes, both Mupfudza and Akram were dropped several times in the slips early in their innings. If even one of these chances had been held, I think there is no way Eagles could have won the match. At least two even went through to the boundary. As it was, the batsmen were allowed to settle in; once they had done so, they batted very well and Tuskers had totally lost the plot. Unfortunately nobody kept a definite record, but at least six and probably more chances went down. What a shambles! Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory!

Now let's hope this message can survive the trauma of my pressing "Submit" this time!

I think Campbell has improved a lot last few matches. He is averaging 42 in list A and witj those two score should have a first class average approaching 30

Is Akram nothing more than a solid FC cricketer?

I think he can do better than that, as he definitely has talent in both batting and bowling. But we have had so many with promise that have never really come through, so can't really predict right now.

If the coronavirus hits Zimbabwe, at least the Tuskers slip cordon will be safe. They won't catch that either!

I've only seen Macheka bowl in one match so far, so I can only judge on that. He looked quite pacy, but still raw, and overdid the bouncer.
Thanks John, looking at his numbers it still seems he’s far from being the finished product, but let’s hope he continues to progress.
