Maybe myers isn't a bad selection due to the putchh. He is a handy seamer and is skiddy.
However I think shumba just about deserved to be there ahead of him is my only minor quibble.

Re: 1st ODI Zimbabwe vs Ireland
Tricky conditions to bat first in by the looks of things. However, we've shown we are good at defending totals so this probably suits us. That middle order; BT, Ervine, Willo, Wes, Raza is epic.
This is our strongest XI (for the first time in a very long time) so it will be a very interesting test. I'm feeling surprisingly confident.

That's a good call, you want your best batsmen to face as many balls as possible
Re: 1st ODI Zimbabwe vs Ireland
Satisfied with the playing X1 after a very long time ..even though a fit burl instead of mazakdaza would have added so much more balance ..but this is still a good side
Re: 1st ODI Zimbabwe vs Ireland
Sorry sir I still feel a fit burl instead of mazakadza in odi is a better callCholeZimbo wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 8:10 amWell, if you have been really following the series so far, you would know that we need Masakadza in that line up.tej_27 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 7:49 amLooking at the conditions and the players available any sane person would go with this lineup
Chakabva
Myers
Ervine
Taylor
Williams
Madhevere
Raza
Burl
Jongwe
Muzarbani
Ngarava
If burl is injured he should be replaced with shumba ..and this should be the lineup easily ..but don't be surprised if ZC drops someone like Taylor and plays Kamunkhwane or marumani drop ngarava and play tiripano ..drop burl shumba and play mazakadaza
