I am unsure but he was certainly flagged up very early as a prodigious and precocious talent. Rather like Sicknote Williams.ZIMDOGGY wrote:What was brm like as a kid anyone know?

A talented batsman but a modest, hardworking character, Stuart Matsikenyeri is the third of three school friends from Churchill Boys High School, Harare to represent Zimbabwe in international cricket. - Cricinfo.

I think stuart could do a bit of a job with the A side, but I certainly wouldn't have him anywhere near our ODI or test team. Maybe the T20 side if in form

Re: twenty 20 lineup ?
Why so categorical? What if he has a purple patch, just because of who he is do you keep him out? If he has under performed fine keep him out, but if on the other hand he consistantly outplays Hami, then he's in...my objection is this attitude that people have x number of chances and no more, I believe everything should be form based.sloandog wrote:I think stuart could do a bit of a job with the A side, but I certainly wouldn't have him anywhere near our ODI or test team. I think after 8 years of underperforming we can ascertain that Matsi will never be of international class, no matter how well he performs domestically.

He did start representing Zim from very early days. A photo of his from his U-15 days here: http://zimcricketforums.com/viewtopic.p ... t=30#p4429ZIMDOGGY wrote:What was brm like as a kid anyone know?
Also, he had scored a hundred in the U-19 WC, when he participated along with the likes of Hamilton, Tatenda and Elton.

Not bad. Would drop Taibu for Mutizwa though he isnt a 2020 player really and Taylor or Coventry can keepDetective RDS wrote:1. Brendan Taylor (C)
