Bloody hell old Knackers got some tap hey 63 off his ten. Cracks are showing and he needs to come back strong with the bat.
Out for only 15 with the bat as well, drop him!

I've actually been wanting Knackerville to fail just to prove he's human
Clearly a good player, but what I really want to see is him facing Chivanga bowling well and not spraying it.

Well well

Showing why he couldn’t even get in the Belgian select XI there yo. No wonder he couldn’t get a gig in Shadystan or Australia.

Madande playing as just a batsmen again ffs. It's really embarrassing that our national keeper isn't wearing the gloves for the tuskers, just shows that he is isn't good enough.

He needs to be given the gloves in these games to improve his game, he will only keep making mistakes for the national team when he has no match practice.

Makes sense to me - off to the qualifier next week, the last thing you want is him picking up an injury whilst keeping in a Pro50 match

I don't understand why Madhevere bats so far down the order in that Eagles line up? Maybe to give it some balance, but its not doing him any favors as a batsman.

Surprising win for Eagles there. Monumental collapse from Rhinos after a great start by their openers and a good 50 from Burl and Mavuta. Should have won that easily.

If that is the case I'd rather him not play at all, wrap him in cotton wool and put him in a box until national games.

It's a ridiculous mindset, he is a wicket keeper not a fielder. I'd rather him not go in rusty with the gloves, as his glove work is already pretty average

Mpofu has done really well. I thought he had retired. The tuskers needed that boost

Is it something to be worried about that neither ngarava or blessing have played today

What is Blessing's status? Is he over his injury and preparing for the qualifier?
I'd like to think Richie is just not playing so as to not risk injury.
Without both of them our seam attack is just plain weak and we could be in shit.
How much longer is Evans sitting out? He hasn't played cricket in a long while.
Presumably Marumani is in the squad, but he hasn't played in weeks either. Is he going as the reserve keeper or is he going to be part of the starting line up as a batter, and where in the line up? Does that mean Mayavo is out?
Presumably Williams is booted and suited, of a cheery disposition and with his A game in his locker?
With Marumani present and if he's in the line up who sits out?
I think NW is selected but whether he starts or not remains to be seen. Are both TK and Inno in the squad or is one of them out? You have 6 options as openers- Welch, Marumani, Ervine, Madhevere, Kaia and Kamunhukamwe. You need batters who can rotate strike. Having a guy with poor rotation puts enormous pressure on his partner. Similarly a slow starter brings problems. TK struggles to rotate and Inno is a slow starter. Those two together are problematic. The greater of the evils is inability to rotate.
Youre going to get quality bowling from the Namibians in particular. Two good opening overs from the bowling side and you've got a big problem.

Its also Ervine's problem. You can keep him quiet at the start of his innings with good bowling. He's a slow starter and has this innate instinct to dead bat a good delivery. He can catch it up but if he goes out early hes chewed up deliveries. The first 6 overs are so critical. In good conditions you need to be around 50 with one down max. Take poison on the fact that Namibia are preparing slow turners.

I've never understood why they haven't persevered with Madhevere up front. Well I do know why, they're trying to protect him and hope he comes good one day. He's about 80 internationals in, too late for that, it's surely sink or swim time.
Hes a good striker but doesn't clear the fence too easily, he's got the skills to rotate strike and he's fast between the wickets. Up front he's got a fielding restriction and a new ball to clear the ring. It feels like the only time Madhevere may improve is when someone genuinely threatens his spot. There's 4 guys potentially capable of that- Knackervile, Myers, Bennett and Welch Jr. If Naqvi had a passport it would be a straight swap out right now if selections were done correctly. Bennett is younger but is just as good as Wes, and bowls offies. Myers would be competing with Evans and Jongwe. He's a better bat but a lesser bowler. There has to be a time limit on Luke trundling in relying on a golden arm. He needs competition urgently.
Matty Welch will have to wait yet another year to just establish himself in franchise unless they extend the endurance test even further, but if you want to know the guy with the highest ceiling it's him, by a wide margin.
If ZC were intent on pathways they'd have relocated him to a franchise where he gets to play. He's proof it's lip service.
