SEAN WILLIAMS WATCH SINCE CWC15
Re: SEAN WILLIAMS WATCH SINCE CWC15
What is keeping him in the team is that he is one of our most talented players. Form is temporary, class is permanent.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes
Re: SEAN WILLIAMS WATCH SINCE CWC15
Only someone with zero knowledge about cricket would use this idea of taking the runs conceded from runs scored to determine a players "contribution' to the side. Williams usually bowls close to 10 overs a game and his economy is just under 5 so that is roughly 50 runs conceded per game ( which is totally except able in today's game), so for him to be scoring more than conceding he would have to average over 50 which no other Zimbabwean batsman has ever done ( Craig Ervine is the closest with an average of 41
). So in your eyes Williams should be bowling less overs so to concede less runs so his 'contribution' will be a positive???
So only the batsman are 'contributing' to the side whilst all the bowlers are just holding us back??
Guess that's why Elton quit bowling yeah??
Once again Bavuma and Rabada prove they have zero knowledge about cricket

Re: SEAN WILLIAMS WATCH SINCE CWC15
Sean is having a good year.
He is part of very solid core of batsman all averaging in high 30's:

Compare this to last year when the highest average in the team was Chigumbura's 35.63 .
Runs wise Willy is second behind only Chamu:

His bowling is no liability either, he has the second most wickets this year and similar SR & AVE to our spear-head; Panyangara and with a slightly better economy.

Sean is an important member of the team, his spot in the team is not going anywhere!

But Angus you forgot to take out the best series Sean had thereby rigging the stats to look like he isn't doing as well ......
The alarming thing on that batting chart is Hami's struggles for the entire year I guess that's why Whatmore dropped him ....
Our bowling is just terrible no matter which way you look at it ......

Yes Sean Williams is having a good year due to the fact he is the teams second leading runscorer and wicket taker this would indicate he is having a good year ......
Might take some time for you to wrap your thick skull around that but I'm sure you'll come to terms by the w/e
