The deed is done ZIMBABWE DOES IT YET AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We win by THREE RUNS!!!!!!!!!!!
Well played Chigumbura, Ervine. And no matter what people may say UTSEYA is turning out to be quite a bowler. Mr Dots is his name. And must say Great Depth Bolwing by Mpofu. Surely made a difference of sorts.

Re: [Match Thread] Australia v Zimbabwe (T20 Warmup)
What a great result. Any win over Australia is good, even if it is just a warm-up match.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Okay so we got the result but can we really built from here:
1. Masakadza and Chibhabha should be left to open the batting.
2. Coventry should make way for another player perhaps Blignuat is a better option from the players currently on tour.
* Barring any injuries Tatende Taibu is not a no. 10 batmans.
* Conditions permitting it would seem our spinning trioc is truely "World Class".

What a player, back from the much needed rest and decimates the opposition! If Chiggs and Bliggs can bring their magic early in the tournament, there is no reason why we shouldn't be progressing further in the championship...

loooks like AUstralia is Zim's bunny at 20/20. I think Chigumbura has proven why he is going to play county Cricket. And i think murama should be out of the team for lamb, purely as lamb a reckon is more econmical and a batter

Indeed. And we are relying too much on Elty. Without him Zim is considerably weaker. Perhaps as Chigumbura was being rested, so should Taibu and maybe the footwork behind the stumps could help Brandan Taylor's form with the bat (Any Flower used to insist it did).tawac wrote:Okay so we got the result but can we really built from here:

It maybe too early to say but I think we are going to miss Sean Williams stability in the middle; but I see Craig Ervine being handed more responsibility by the time we play New Zealand.
With regards to Maruma (and Coventry) I feel the selectors have been trying to play as many batsmen as they could into some kind of form, and so far only Masakadza, Taibu, Ervine, Blignaut and Chigumbura can be trusted.
