I don't know, isn't Panyangara something of an allrounder? since we are promoting bowlers maybe give him the opening spot. They sure don't seem to want to give it to a genuine opener.

I hope so. I believe that's our white knight. Hes a good player but is never used properly.Dr_Situ(ZimFanatic) wrote:Lamb, are u willing to open?
I hope today's performance finally shuts ppp up about pantangara.
He's useless. Always underperformed and isn't even that good St domestic level,
Chatara is better. But at the same time u must remember the wicketshe is taking is against the franchise b sides. We hVe 20+ top line players out of action and he should never leave with less tha a 4fer.
Mpofu is the best we have atm

Our bowlers have been found out and contrary to what many of you write about having world class bowlers I'm afraid to say we DO NOT have world class bowlers nor batters....absolutely not, granted playing more competitive games against the better nations would be very helpful but we simply do not have a world class player, we just arent good enough and our fielding in my opinion well below par, with the domestic scene in such good shape it is disheartening to see such inept performances.....
I think we do tend to overrate our bowlers. The spinners are great at limiting runs in an ODI setting and picking up wickets by through the subsequent pressure - but they are not destructive wicket takers like Shane Warne, Murali, Afridi, etc,. Once we get to tests we are in trouble. The spinners will just be blocked out and the pace bowlers will struggle to get wickets or contain the batsmen. We have no wicket taking bowlers at all. Kyle Jarvis was probably the closest we had before his injury.

Taylors batting brilliant, he is a fighter.
Say what u will but he plays to win, it's a shame because If he was a little more consistent he. Would be a great

I think it is fair to say that Panyangara has done very little for the Mountaineers this season to deserve the call up. He was apparently accurate against NZ A (without taking wickets), but that's about it. When they have played together, Chatara, and S.Masakadza have outbowled him, at least in 1st class cricket.
