Macmillion will be an interesting one. His dad is under the spotlight and there's a chance he will be the fall guy in this American sponsored Al Jazeera exposé. The days of African American puppet regimes are over, like Biden they're about 50 years out of date. They're about that many years too late to do business in Africa, they need to walk through the front door and do legit business, not continue with their arrogant ways thinking they can topple governments, how stupid can they be?
Good point on Macmillan….his dad is as dodgy as anything, checkered history long before this Al Jazeera stuff.
We need big Mataranyika to resurface, his Dad might be useful for the ZC sponsorship account

He struggled massively at the U19 world cup. Granted all of Madhevere, Myers, Shumba, and Marumani also couldn’t get scores but couple of them look OK at international level so far (Wes and Myers).
Pretty sure he only played a handful of games prior to his sabbatical, so too small a sample size to say he was never the same player as he was prior.
He was a prodigy who scored a century in debut at 17(?)) and was the youngest to do so at the time. Followed it up with another not long after. Went, then came back a battlercwho was in and out, had some flickers of form but never Cemented his legacy

He only scored 1 century before he went away, IIRC he had played 3 tests for 1 century & 1 half century. His ODI record was very small sample as well, yet with no success.
We’ve seen plenty of guys hit the scene with an impressive debut before failing to repeat those heights again.
Yes scoring a ton at 17 was unbelievable, but with such a small sample size of matches to go off, I don’t think you can say he was never the same player.
Well going to the cliche dead beat excuse, the system was actually much more tougher for all involved after 2005. The team he played with back then (pre sabbatical) might have not put as much pressure on him doing most of the performing than the 2005 squad! Pressure is something we all downplay here but these are human beings and i think all those factors (incl. the economy) would have caused his “form” to seem like it took a dive. I still think he had a great Test career and its crazy that he played in one ODI WC only he could accelerate it if he wanted to! Anyway i am a bit biased as i like Hami a lot so yeah take that any way you want to!
