Their players were half the size of the ZIM boys. I saw a video of them dancing after the SL win and none of the players looked like they even started shaving yet. Which is odd because 50% of Asian boys have full beards by the time they are 15. I think you guys have been confusing the coaches and support staff for the players.

This was the worst batting unit Bangladesh have put out in recent memory and the bowling wasn't as good as it should have been. In particular Rakibul and Tanzim who excelled in 2020, regressed quite alarmingly in this tournament. Ripon Mondol did well and looks to have something about his bowling.

Hopefully the next batch will do better. You only need an average of 2-3 players from each group who can really kick on at the next level.

Dont think anyone was calling BD favourites, esp after their Asia cup performance

Yeah BD weren't even favorites in 2020. I myself knew we were the 2nd best side in the world, but BD usually always chokes in the knockouts and I was like I'll be satisfied if they can make the semis and then compete there. The Final was a bit of a surprise, but winning it was a matter of everything falling into place which is slightly rare.

This 2022 team was nowhere near that level.

Its Poms against the Afghans in first semi. Going to be exciting as the knockouts has been low scoring encounters, with both pacers and spinners are getting enough purchase from the tracks.
